From the first step into a Montessori classroom, you will find noticeable differences from the traditional classroom. Great care goes into preparing an environment to meet the needs of all children while fostering independence. Please take a minute to explore some of the resources that will assist you in your observation in the Montessori classroom. You will find some guidelines for your visit, the learning areas in the classroom, and a worksheet to help you notice the intentional actions in the classroom by clicking on the tabs to the left. These resources will also be available in the classroom during all visits.
